Beijing.- China's health authorities reported on Monday (Beijing local time) another 150 patients killed by the new coronavirus, and thus raised the total fatalities to 2,592 of the epidemic in Chinese territory.

In its latest assessment, the National Health Commission noted that 149 of those 150 deaths occurred in the province of Hubei. He also confirmed 409 new cases of infection, also almost all in the same province.

Meanwhile, several provinces reported that there have been no new cases of infection for several days in a row, even when the situation continues to worsen within Hubei and outside of China.

A single death was reported on Monday outside Hubei, in Hainan province, where according to the official Xinhua news agency the fatal victim was a 55-year-old doctor.

The coronavirus has spread to more than 25 countries and is already a cause for growing alarm due to new outbreaks of outbreaks in Europe, the Middle East and Asia.

Italy reported a third death while the cases went off, and the authorities suspended football matches and interrupted the Carnival of Venice.

The death toll confirmed by Iran increased to eight, which caused travel bans in neighboring countries.

The number of new confirmed cases of contamination in China is well below previously recorded levels. However, the authorities in the country have sown confusion over the data by repeatedly changing their counting methods.
