China is one of the countries that has been most involved in the search for both a vaccine and detection methods for the new coronavirus.

The race to get a vaccine against the new coronavirus, which causes covid-19 pneumonia, appears to be advancing at accelerated speed.
On Tuesday, China's Defense Ministry said in a statement that it had "successfully" developed a SARS-CoV-2 vaccine, and that it had already authorized human testing, but did not say when it would start.
The announcement came the day after the first human trials of a possible vaccine to be launched in the United States will be followed by 45 healthy volunteers.

According to the Chinese authorities, his vaccine was developed by the research team of the Military Academy of Medical Research, dependent on the Military Academy of Sciences.
Epidemiologist Chen Wei, leader of that group of researchers, said that it complies with international standards and local regulations, and that it is ready for "large-scale, safe and effective production."

But this is not the only vaccine developed in China against the new coronavirus.

Several institutions in that country revealed on Tuesday that in April they will launch clinical trials to verify the efficacy of various vaccines they have been working on, EFE reported.
One of these is a vaccine created from viral influenza vectors that is currently undergoing experimentation with animals and that will be tested in April in a study involving several research centers together with the universities of Beijing, Tsinghua and Xiamen, according to the Chinese Ministry of Education.

Clinical trials of several vaccines against the new coronavirus will begin in China in April.

Also, in April will be tests of a vaccine developed on the mRNA platform, according to the deputy director of the Shanghai Municipal Health Commission, Yi Chengdong.

On the other hand, the deputy director of the Shanghai Municipal Health Commission, Yi Chengdong, said that Chinese scientists have developed a vaccine on the mRNA platform that will enter clinical trials also in April. This was created from viral proteins derived from the structural proteins of a virus.
In addition to being the place where the new coronavirus arose, China has so far been the country in the world where there have been the most victims of this disease, adding up to Tuesday March 17 at least 3,226 deaths and more than 80,000 infected.
