Paris. - The Covid-19 coronavirus has left more than 30,000 dead worldwide, according to a count with official data on Saturday at 6:00 pm Paris time.
In total, at least 30,003 people have died from Covid-19, of which more than two thirds in Europe (21,334).

Since the beginning of the epidemic, more than 640,770 cases of contagion were recorded in 183 countries or territories. The number of positive diagnosed cases, however, only reflects a part of the total number of infections due to the different policies of the different countries to diagnose the cases, some only do it with those people who need hospitalization.

From Friday at 6:00 pm there were 3,417 new deaths and 68,734 infections worldwide.

The death toll in Italy, which recorded its first death linked to the virus in late February, stands at 10,023. The country registered 92,472 infections. Since Friday, 889 deaths and 5,974 new infections were registered. Italian authorities consider 12,384 people healed.
After Italy, the most affected countries are Spain with 5,690 deaths and 72,248 cases, mainland China with 3,295 deaths (81,394 cases), Iran with 2,517 deaths (35,408 cases), and France with 2,314 deaths (37,575 cases).
Mainland China (not counting Hong Kong and Macao), where the epidemic broke out in late December, has a total of 81,394 infected people, of whom 3,295 died and 74,971 were completely healed. In the last 24 hours, 54 new cases and three deaths have been registered.
The United States is the country with the highest number of infections, with a total of 115,547 registered positives, of which 1,891 died and 921 were cured.
As of Friday at 6:00 pm, Brunei, Togo, Qatar, Sri Lanka and Jordan announced the first deaths linked to the new coronavirus.
On Saturday at 6:00 p.m. and since the beginning of the epidemic, Europe added 21,334 deaths (351,877 infections), Asia 3,742 (103,943 infections), the Middle East 2,592 (43,414 infections), the United States and Canada 1,950 (120,981), Latin America and the Caribbean 242 (12,315), Africa 128 (4,103), and Oceania 15 (4,145).
