Caracas News Update. - Nicolás Maduro Guerra, son of President Nicolás Maduro, declared that the closure of DirecTV is a way to ‘get even’ with government supporters.
‘This is how they retaliate from their recent frustrations, they do not forgive the majority, their loyalty and patriotic love,’ said the also militant of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV).
This Tuesday morning the DirecTV team reported the immediate cancellation of its services in Venezuela due to the impediment of meeting the requirements that Venezuelan law requires to be licensed and, at the same time, comply with the United States sanctions against the government of Nicolás Maduro.
In reaction to this fact, Maduro Guerra commented on the social network Twitter: ‘To deprive the people of their right to information and entertainment, it was also an option that was on and under the table.’
